Ian Thompson
Ian is and American screenwriter, script coordinator, and creative writer. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to African-American parents, Ian grew up in a highly artistic environment and family, with music and writing on his father's side and art on his mother's side.
An only child, Ian would turn to media to learn more about the world. He spent his early years obsess- watching television and working as a kindergarten teaching assistant. Inspired by his experiences growing up Ian decided to study to become a writer. After obtaining his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Point Park University, he began writing for various Youtube videos and web series.
In early 2023, in search of higher education and new opportunities, Ian relocated to Burbank, California to attend the New York Film Academy - Los Angeles branch and graduated from their one-year screenwriting program. He aims to spread his ideas to the world. In my work I like mixing the familiar with the unfamiliar, obstructing everyday human life with something fantastical.
